Where is the brachial pulse located in an infant?

The brachial pulse in an infant is located inside the upper arm. This pulse point is essential for assessing circulation in young children, particularly because traditional pulse points like the carotid or radial may be difficult to palpate due to their small size or the anatomy of infants.

When attempting to locate the brachial pulse, you should position the infant's arm slightly bent and use two to three fingers to press gently on the inside of the upper arm, midway between the elbow and shoulder.
